theTombs
I doubt this applies to anyone here, but don't try to send me e-mail @thetombs.com. I've had to shut all e-mail off and set up a bounce message because some a$$hole has used random addresses @thetombs.com as the return addresses for thousands of e-mails, and a good percentage of them are bouncing. We're talking 20-30 or more an hour. I think I can have everything EXCEPT
webmaster@thetombs bounce, but I'd rather just wait and see if the flood subsides.
In other news, I'm back at 'Poly for one last go-round. I have Internet access up, so I'll be back on ICQ when I'm home. Interesting note: the house isn't wired, but the guy renting the other room set up a wireless access point near the cable modem. So I've configured my laptop to access the net over WiFi and then share the connection over ethernet. Kind of a weird setup.

Wow
On a related note, Flash MX 2004 promises to create content that is "2-8x faster" due to compiler optimizations. If this puts theTombs back into the realm of playability, I think I'll do a happy-dance.

I don't know if you had read the stuff I posted under the "Matt:" heading a week or two ago, but that's exactly what was happening to me... and as Bryce said, it did subside....
Did you not have any standard addresses @thetombs.com to continue using? All of my addresses @recurse.net were fine because they were only using random addresses @recurse.net. Also, all of my bounces were from AOL so it made it really easy to filter the bounces.
Finally, since mine was hit, and now yours, and yours is listed right after mine on the sidebar ont he right, maybe they are getting these domains from this site...
I think you overestimate the popularity of More Cooler...
It's happening to a lot more people than just us. Although it's possible, it never happened to me on my Net Result Designs address, and I don't think it happened to Martin with mwoody (correct me if I'm wrong).
Not yet
No, nothing to mwoody.com yet. I had no specific addresses set up @theTombs, but I'll have to do that now, I suppose. I'm just going to ignore it, for now. I'm probably going to delay the new version of the game (been working on it for a while now) until I've finished converting it to the new MX 2004 format.
MX now supports external .class files! Yay!
what's popular to a bot?
I realize we're not exactly the new hot site of the 'net, but it's still possible that some bot is crawling the site and got the domains from there... however if none of the other domains have been hit then I agree it's just a coincidence.
