Um...'kay

Yes, that is a Miata. Is that your Miata?

Posted by martin on 9/16/03 at 8:46AM

well..

it will be by the end of the week ;-)

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 8:49AM

Since he didn't share this part...

I heard him close the deal on the phone. The phrase used was "Why the hell not?" How great is that? BTW, his car has TEETH. That's awesome.

Posted by bryce on 9/16/03 at 9:00AM

Yeah..

Its got jack-o-lantern teeth in the front.. gonna get a light kit so they light up at night too ;)

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 9:02AM

I'd just like to add..

The full "conversation" went like this. Bryce and I were downstairs on the couch, and Matt was up in his loft. We could tell that he was talking to Miata Lady.

Me: "Buy it, Matt, buy it!"
Bryce: "Psht! Not for [insert amount of money Matt paid which he may or may not want the world to know here]".
Matt: (from upstairs, still on phone) "Why the hell not!"

Perhaps you had to be there. But it was really funny. Erm. Bye.

hey now,

it was still a good deal :)

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 9:30AM

plus

you all know how well developed my negotiating skills are..

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 9:31AM

where's the challenge?

this will make it much less interesting to fill matt's car

Posted by brian on 9/16/03 at 9:35AM

flying fix

... and just out of curiosity, is this so you can still "fly" when you can no longer get free tickets?

Posted by brian on 9/16/03 at 9:36AM

The real challenge

Can we still fit all 8 people in the car.... I say yes. Dibs on top!

Posted by bryce on 9/16/03 at 9:39AM

ZOOM ZOOM!

Miata = Mazda. ::does the zoomzoom dance::

Don't ask.

And apparently it's "==". Uhm. Yeah. Geeks.

Posted by Kim on 9/16/03 at 9:42AM

woot.

geeks!

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 10:00AM

You think == is geeky

Wait till you get into the === operator. That's a fun one.

Posted by bryce on 9/16/03 at 10:05AM

So...

I figured I'd explain before Bryce does it more mockingly than I ever would.

The zoomzoom dance consists mainly of me dancing around the room like a white girl, at some point going up on one leg, overbalancing, and falling down.

What I want to know

Can this car actually fit in your suburban?

Posted by sean on 9/16/03 at 11:37AM

I already suggested that...

Matt said no. He is looking into how to tow the Miata behind the Suburban for when he has to take one car into the shop.

BTW, I was told one of the rules of the new car is "No toast in the radiator." Sorta like the zoo's "Don't feed the animals" rule, except better.

Zoom-zoom!

Cool car, Matt! Is this EVA-02?

Posted by martin on 9/16/03 at 1:23PM

hehe

the license plate is currently "GRTPUMK"

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 2:03PM

teeth

here is basically what the teeth look like.. teeth

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 2:10PM

..

Posted by matt on 9/16/03 at 2:13PM

ninja

the Ninja is currently completely useless as ALL of the entries are from this post.

Posted by brian on 9/16/03 at 4:31PM

Is that . . .

Bryce's foot?

Posted by chris on 9/16/03 at 5:56PM

Nah...

my feet are way bigger.

Posted by bryce on 9/16/03 at 7:34PM

Duh

Didn't you read Brian's post? That there is ninja foot.

Posted by martin on 9/16/03 at 7:49PM

No..

This is a picture from a modern-day Wizard of Oz. Instead of landing on the Wicked Witch of the East, Dorothy (played by Matt) just has her car eat the witch (played by a ninja). And in this, the dwarves are replaced by the college students who live at Matt's complex. "You're among the drunken people now." I'm done now.

Posted by bryce on 9/16/03 at 8:51PM

So now you have an average of 2 cars?

The subarban is more of a car, the Miata barely qualifies as a car, we now have an sum of 2 cars? (1.5 + .5)

Very nice Matt. A little smaller than I would prefer, but you have a 'size' vehicle already =)

Posted by jeff on 9/17/03 at 7:23AM

hehe

yeah, well, I wanted something sporty, convertible, and that could fit into the parking spots here in san diego.. :)

Posted by matt on 9/17/03 at 7:49AM

Yeah,

But does it fit in you Suburban?
